I am a licensed clinician who provides mental health and/or substance abuse therapy services for the state of Iowa. I have a License in Mental Health Counseling and I am certified to provide substance abuse counseling in Iowa. I earned my Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Drake University in 2012 and a Master of Psychology with a Clinical Science emphasis from University of Northern Iowa in 2008. I am a member of the Iowa Mental Health Counselors Association. I have been in the counseling field since 2003, during which time have served diverse and underprivileged populations with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. I have previously provided services to schools, residential treatment, in-patient institutions, out-patient centers, in-home services, family therapy clinics, and I am currently in private practice. My clientele has included adolescents and adults with a wide variety of presenting issues and criminal backgrounds that range in severity. I have extensive training and experience with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse/addictions, trauma/abuse history (certified in EMDR and TFCBT), victims of antisocial/narcissistic abuse, grief/loss, conduct and oppositional disorders, stress management, family or relationship conflicts, anger management, etc. Please contact me to set up an initial appointment.
